- Director-General's Polio Eradication Champion Award Commendation Medal by the World Health Organization in 1998.
- Polio Eradication Champion Award by the Rotary International in 2001.
- "Doctor of the last Decade" (Swastha Ratna) by Indian Medical Association's New Delhi branch in 2002.

Prof. PR Mukund is an educator, researcher and entrepreneur. He is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. He is also a keen student and teacher of Vedic way of life. Prof. Mukund started Tara Prakashana, initially in the USA, and subsequently in Bharat. This non-profit organization has saved thousands of ancient Vedic manuscripts from disintegration, including the Sarvamoola Grantha of Acharya Madhva. His work has been reported worldwide, including BBC, CNN and MSNBC. Recently he started the Foundation for the Preservation of Knowledge in Penfield - New York, that focuses on Preservation & Dissemination of Vedic Knowledge.

Dr Ashok S. Shettar is Vice-Chancellor of KLE Technological University, Hubli.). He has ME and PhD in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr Shettar has over 35 years’ experience in engineering education and administration. As principal of BVB College of Engineering Technology from 2001 to 2015, he lead a comprehensive strategic reform process to transform BVB college to the status of University. He was a member of Higher Education council, Govt, of Karnataka, the Executive Council and Academic Council of Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belgaum. He is the founding Chairman of CII, North Karnataka Zone. His expertise lies in strategic planning and institutional development, Outcome Based Education framework, Engineering Education Research. He is Chairman of national level committee of AICTE on examination reforms. He has played an important role in establishing and growing “Centre for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ at KLE Tech, which has emerged as pioneering model to nurture entrepreneurial ecosystem in Tier-II cities of India. Recently he was honored by Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) with ‘Techno-visionary’ lifetime achievement award.

Dr Sahana Bhat is an international Bharatanatyam artist and an experienced Guru. She is the founder of Natyanjali Nritya Kala Kendra, Sirsi and has done a yeoman service for dance. She has directed more than 35 innovative dance ballots that include Sampoorna Ramayana, Samara Yagnya, Shoorpanakha, Poothani and more than a dozen solo experiments. She is a keen scholar and has been awarded with Doctorate in Bharatnatyam conducting her research under prof Dr K Kumar at Manasgangotri Mysore University. Among her student she is known as Sahana akka and she remains a favorite student of Guru Ravidatta and is entitled as “ Manasaputri” by him. Her work has been well recognized by the many awards she has won which include Aryabhata Kala Tapaswi, Abhinava Shantala and many more. She has been part of Rashtriya Purskar ( Junior research fellowship Delhi) 2016-2017. Natyanjali Nrutya Kala Kendra is the symbol of her love towards her art. As founder of Natyanjali Nrutya Kala Kendra, Sirsi, around 1500 students belonging to 14 districts (Haveri, Honnavar, Sirsi, Tumkur, Dharwad, Kumta, Karwar, Raichur etc) have been trained by her and now have become dedicated teachers. Vidwath exams are also regularly given under her kind guidance. More than 35 Vidhwat exams (KSEB)(proud Shikhsana Pariksha Mandala) have qualified with flying colors. She has been great teacher as well as performing artist. Since past 8 years, every year, one artist has been awarded Guru Ravidatta award in institutionalized in honor of Guru Ravidatta and many female artists are awarded with Pratibha Puraskara. Her performance based on the literature direction of lyricist Mr Pradeep Bhat (her husband) has achieved name and fame all around the nation as well as world. To add to all of the above, she has been also been a guiding light providing free education and basic facilities to hundreds of physically challenged, mentally challenged, orphan students.

Dr Shantaram Hegde born in Ummachigi of North Karnataka(Uttar Kannada) received MA. Music from Karnatak University, Dharwad and also holds a Phd in Music. He attained his music education for 2 years under Pandit Chandrasekhar and for 8 years under Padmabhushana Basavraj Sir. Dr Shantaram holds vast experience in performing and has been doing so since 1986 as an orator, writer, research guide, Akashwani artist and as resource person conducting many seminars and workshops for UGC and Karnataka Cultural Department Sir, continues to serve the nation by teaching, he is now serving as Professor in Fine Arts (Lalitha Kala) and Music of Karnataka University. In 2008, he laid foundation stone of "Udattha Kala Academy" which continues to organize various programmes and events.

Vivek Pawar is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sankalp Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd , which he founded in 2005. Sankalp has grown from 6 employees in 2005 to 100+ employees focused on niche area of analog and mixed-signal IC design. He brings in 20+ years of industry experience in varied functions like general management, operations, program management, customer relations, and design. Vivek also has significant experience in mixed-signal and analog product design and system on chip (SoC) development, including firmware development. Prior to Sankalp Semiconductor, Vivek served as Program Manager at Texas Instruments Inc. (Houston, USA) from 2003-2005 and General Manager for Broadband Silicon Technology Center in Texas Instruments India, Bangalore from 2000-2003. Vivek has 3 patents approved and multiple publications to his credit. A significant project in Vivek’s experience was for developing a DSL router on a single chip which took Texas Instruments to the number one position in the CPE DSL market. That product also received the 2003 EDN Worldwide Innovative ASSP Product of the Year Award. Vivek received his Bachelor’s from COEP, Pune and a Master’s from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India.

Dr. Karisiddappa is the Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, one of the leading Technical Universities in Asia. Prior to his appointment for the post, he served as the Principal of Government Engineering College, Hassan. He has been an inseparable part of VTU by serving as a member for the Board of Studies and Board of Examiners and also a member of various local inquiry committee of VTU.Dr. Karisiddappa has a teaching and research experience of over 35 years in the field of Structural Engineering. He has published 47 research papers in referred National and International Journals in the area of concrete Technology, Finite Element Analysis, Neural Networks, Structural Stability and Soil Structure Interaction.He also has organised, attended and delivered lectures in various National and International Conferences.He has guided about 40 batches of B.E. students, 34 M.Tech candidates, 5 candidates for Phd and 1 candidate for M.Sc by research.Dr. Karisiddappa aims to transform the university from a teaching centric university into a teaching, research and consultancy and knowledge centric University.

Born in the historical city of Bijapur, Prof. Pramod Bhimarao Gai had his early education in the prestigious K.E. Board’s High School Dharwad. Securing First Rank to the school in S.S.L.C exam, Prof.Gai was the recipient of All India National Merit Scholarship. He completed B.Sc. from Karnataka Science College, Dharwad, and M.Sc. from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He did his Ph.D with specialization in Human Genetics in 1979 on “Genetics of Palmaris Longus Muscle” In fact Prof. Gai is the first Ph.D with specialization in Human Genetics from Karnatak University. He has published several Research Papers on Human Molecular Genetics in National and International journals.Looking at his contribution, the University appointed Prof. Gai as Professor and Co-ordinator of a newly established Department of Applied Genetics. In a short span of time, Prof. Gai established a fairly well equipped Genetics Laboratory where, for the first time cloning of several genes has been successfully undertaken.Prof. Gai is the Director of KIDNAR. (2013- June,2015. Presently holding the additional charge).Prof. Gai was associated with a Major Research Project on “Molecular Evolution of SouthIndian Populations” undertaken by Eccles Institute of Human Genetics University of Utah USAfunded by National Science Foundation.His primary research interests are Molecular Genetics of genetic disorders, Genetics of Cancerespecially Breast Cancer, Blood cancer and Cervical Cancer.Apart from his academic exercise, as a service to the aspirants, Prof. Gai is engaged in guidingstudents for IAS, IPS and other competitive exams. Every year many students trained under him enter into these All India Services.Presently Prof. Gai is holding the position of Vice Chancellor, Karnatak University, Dharwad from June 2015.
